Bought for occasional property work. Gas engine means I can use the same fuel as my mowers and don't worry about diesel storage. The 13.5hp B&S has plenty of power for residential work.
Was nervous about gas vs diesel. After 30 hours I'm a convert for occasional use. The B&S starts easier than my diesel truck in cold weather. Plenty of power for trenching.
Wanted to avoid diesel complications - DEF, regen, expensive parts. The B&S gas engine starts every time and uses pump gas. 1 ton size is perfect for occasional use.
1 ton with a gas engine is the perfect homeowner combination. Light enough to trailer easily, simple enough to maintain, capable enough for real residential work.
If you only need a mini a few times a year, gas is way more practical than diesel. Fuel doesn't gel, doesn't go bad as fast, and the B&S engine starts after sitting.
